Among the many ways we support the community is by hosting Breakfasts with History. In this lecture series, knowledgeable speakers provide insight into the varied and interesting history of life in the Santa Cruz River Valley.
In the spring, the society celebrates with an Annual Picnic at a historic site. Also, periodically we sponsor field trips to archaeological and historical sites.

“Tubac History on a Thursday Afternoon”
October 31, 2024 – Focused topic will be “Tubac-area history from 1823-1848.”
This is not your typical history “lecture.” It is a great opportunity to enjoy the relaxed informality of a small-group discussion to bring up history questions, thoughts.
The meetings begin at 3:30 pm in the “Yellow Casita,” next door to The Historical Society’s location at 6 Burruel St.
Please bring a drink for yourself and a small snack or appetizer to share. We encourage you to bring a Tubac-area history question, comment, or thought.
The discussion session starts with those who wish to ask a history question or comment. The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal. After this beginning the discussion session on the focused topic of the day will begin.
