Among the many ways we support the community is by hosting Breakfasts with History. In this lecture series, knowledgeable speakers provide insight into the varied and interesting history of life in the Santa Cruz River Valley.
In the spring, the society celebrates with an Annual Picnic at a historic site. Also, periodically we sponsor field trips to archaeological and historical sites.
Rio Rico Historical Society General Meeting

Award Winning Writer & Speaker, Venetia Hobson Lewis, worked at several stock brokerages before moving to Los Angeles, where for almost eighteen years, she was a corporate paralegal for a motion picture studio. She has written several award-winning Western short stories. She is privileged to live near Tucson, plans to tell more stories of the city, the territory, the state & the West.
