Among the many ways we support the community is by hosting Breakfasts with History. In this lecture series, knowledgeable speakers provide insight into the varied and interesting history of life in the Santa Cruz River Valley.
In the spring, the society celebrates with an Annual Picnic at a historic site. Also, periodically we sponsor field trips to archaeological and historical sites.

Dia de Los Muertos Altar Tour

Celebrate the magic of Day of the Dead during our 9th Annual Dia de Los Muertos Altar Tour! Make plans to visit us at 6 Burruel Street, across from the Presidio, to view our altar. Also, visit our gift shop!
The Altar Tour is county-wide and hosted by the Nogales-Santa Cruz County Chamber of Commerce, Tubac Chamber of Commerce, and the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park and Museum.
This year’s altar tour will be held from Tuesday, November 1st – Saturday, November 5th, throughout Nogales-Santa Cruz County.
Winter Hours: September – March
Wednesdays 9 am to 2 pm, Thursday through Saturday, 10 am – 2 pm or by appointment
