Among the many ways we support the community is by hosting Speaking of History. In this lecture series, knowledgeable speakers provide insight into the varied and interesting history of life in the Santa Cruz River Valley.
In the spring, the society celebrates with an Annual Picnic at a historic site. Also, periodically we sponsor field trips to archaeological and historical sites.

January 29, 2026 at 3:30pm
Tubac Historical Society
6 Burruel, Tubac
THS’s Tubac History discussion group will be small and informal. The group will gather for a relaxed time discussing Tubac-relevant history topics. This month’s topic will be:
“The Opening of a U. S. Border Patrol Station in Tubac in 1926.”
No sign-up, just show up, bring a snack or hors d’oeuvre to share and a beverage of choice.
Each session will start with open-topic discussions of Tubac-related history on subjects brought up by those present (bring an idea or question) and will conclude with a focused-topic session the subject of which will be listed ahead of time on the website and poster.
Everyone is welcome!
