DESCRIPTION:THS annual picnic will be held at the Rio Rico Golf Club\, which is located on the historic Calabasas townsite\, on Saturday\, March 24 from 12 to 3.  Historian Dwight Thibodeaux\, Public Affairs Representative of the Rio Rico Historical Society\, will be our guest speaker.  Dwight will talk about the original Calabasas townsite\, its connection to early ranching and railroading\, the Calabasas Mission and the Santa Rita Hotel.  Dwight will also lead a tour of the different sites on the property.\n\n\n\nWe hope you will join us to celebrate another great year at THS and as a “thank you” to all our members and volunteers.  Remember\, March 24\, 12 to 3 for delicious food\, good friends\, and interesting history.  Price for Members is $30.  Price for non-members is $35 – This event is SOLD OUT.\n\n\n\nRio Rico Golf Club is located at  1123 Pendleton Road\, Rio Rico\, AZ 85648​

DESCRIPTION:Some of Tubac’s oldest historic buildings will be welcoming visitors for a rare opportunity to tour inside during the Old Town Tubac Historic Adobe Building Tour on Saturday\, November 11\, 2017\, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. \nThe tour includes buildings believed to have garrisoned Spanish Colonial Soldiers in the mid-1700s\, housed some of Arizona’s earliest 19th-century settlers\, homes built on existing foundations by Tubac’s Hispanic Heritage Families and where Tubac’s artist colony had its beginnings and continues to this day. \nTickets are limited and registration in advance is recommended.
